Time to ditch Nestle products perhaps ..

Nestlé, one of the world's biggest food companies, says it is further restricting its operations in Russia. The company announced the move Wednesday, days after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly criticized it for continuing to do business there."

Didn’t the owner of Nestle once say he wanted to own all the water in the world, and that water as a human right was an “extreme” idea?

That company has been a red flag for a while.

@SW-User don't know tbh... But as i mentioned below regarding baby formula, they have a track record of putting profits before people
SW-User
@ozgirl512 Yeah, for happy-go-lucky kid friendly company, they sure seem to hate people.

@ozgirl512 Most companies do, tbf.

Ukraine has banned other political parties and all new source comes from one source. So who is the bad guy?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Entwistle And I agreed
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@newjaninev2 I’m sure Ukrainian flags will help the people from dying
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@MrBrownstone No, not at all. The russian gangster régime taking all its thugs out of the sovereign democracy of Ukraine will keep the people from dying.

Fortunately, that will happen eventually... Ukraine is russia’s new Afghanistan, and many more of russia’s children are yet to become sunflowers. I wonder how much longer the lying war criminal putin can hide their corpses.

The big squeeze needs to be from all companies, I think. It's, at least, an unethical war, and I'd hope that ALL people can see that.

More needs to be done from a military perspective. Actually, as much as I hate to say this, but I was reading DT's comments over Putin and he was saying that Putin wouldn't have dared to invade if he was in office. I'd agree - another nutter on the red nuclear button - he wouldn't have done that. Likewise, granted after the fact, the comment about Nuclear subs trawling the Baltic Seas....

Just throwing that out there, sweeties...

But, from an economic perspective, make them the new Greece (before they joined the EU).

🤔

I thought that, but they produce essentials like baby formula so I guess they have more justification than most to continue operating in Russia.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@ozgirl512 I mean, not really. The government is what's causing it, and the civilians are merely propagandized and coerced into complicity. I'm honestly fine with hurting the Russian civilians in the course of enacting sanctions, since some of the tax revenue goes towards the war effort. But even holding the babies hostage? I mean for Christ's sakes, we're like two levels of indirect responsibility down now and they're babies.
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@BlueVeins everything you say is true, but it also applies to Ukraine's babies
BlueVeins · 22-25
@ozgirl512 Yeah I agree, we shouldn't restrict Nestle or any other formula company from exporting to Ukraine. In fact, we should probably try and encourage it...
Khenpal1 · M
They think that they can make money like 80 years ago.

{@ozgirl512] alas to some business is the be all and end all over the principle of right against wrong.nestle at least now realise the error of there way by pulling out of russia and another kick up the arse for the russian economy
deadgerbil · 22-25

They've been depleting the natural resources of water from California for years, bottling it and selling it, while everyone else is told not to shower or use a garden hose, the company is morally corrupt
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@SW-User Coca cola did the same in India
SW-User
@ozgirl512 yes, another fine example
SW-User
Perhaps, I ditched them in 2002
