@Lionehaza Mister, don't you EVER call me a liar again! If you don't agree with what the Bible says, which is where I got my information from, then you're the liar, not me! Know your bible! READ BELOW!!! I guess you don't know how to read scripture because it says below that yes......Pilate knew that Jesus was innocent and he washed his hands of him, but he STILL delivered him up to the people, to be crucified!! Read verse 24 below!! Pilate said, "SEE YE TO IT." Verse 26 CONFIRMS that Pilate was the ROMAN GOVERNOR who gave Him up to be crucified. Pontius Pilate was the Roman governor of Judea(26–37 CE) who crucified Jesus. He gave the ROMAN SOLDIERS permission to take him away and crucify him!
13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?
14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
15 Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.
16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?
18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.
19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.
22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

Jesus' disciples were killed in different ways.
Matthew 26:3–4 tells us that “the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.” The Jewish leaders demanded of the Romans that Jesus be put to death (Matthew 27:22–25). They couldn’t continue to allow Him to work signs and wonders because it threatened their position and place in the religious society they dominated (John 11:47–50), so “they plotted to take his life” (John 11:53).
But it was actually the Romans, who actually crucified Him (Matthew 27:27–37). Crucifixion was a Roman method of execution, authorized and carried out by the Romans under the authority of Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor who sentenced Jesus. Roman soldiers drove the nails into His hands and feet, Roman troops erected the cross, and a Roman solider pierced His side (Matthew 27:27–35).

The Jews did not kill Jesus. As WildEcho has said, it was the Romans.

@IM5688 The Bible states that the Antichrist will not come on the scene until the beginning of the tribulation period. The fact that the Antichrist is not revealed untilafterthe rapture, is taught in2 Thessalonians 2. Speaking of the Day of the Lord, Paul writes that the tribulation will not begin untilafterthe Antichrist is already revealed: “That day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God” (verses 3–4).

“Every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already” (1 John 4:3).
There is a future antichrist yet to come. But the spirit of antichrist is already in the world. In fact, John goes so far as to say: “You have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come” (1 John 2:18).

@IM5688 Yes! The SPIRIT of the Antichrist, right! But THE Antichrist does not show up until after the rapture. Jesus said there would be many coming in his name claiming to be Christ but not to listen to them. But he also said there would be many false teachers and profits and many who are anti-Christ...against God.

You better read your scripture again, because it was the Romans who actually killed Jesus. The Jewish leaders demanded of the Romans that Jesus be put to death (Matthew 27:22–25). romans were not responsible since all the jews wanted jesus killed.

@Lionehaza Lion, I am going by what the Bible says, and it does say that the Romans killed Jesus. The Jews wanted that yes, but it was actually the Romans that executed the punishment.
Flagellation at the hands of the Romans is mentioned in three of the four canonical Gospels: John 19:1, Mark 15:15, and Matthew 27:26, and was the usual prelude to crucifixion under Roman law.

Silly me, I thought it was the Romans who were persecuting Jesus, his disciples, and his Christian followers in general!
Or are you saying Arabs and Jews were in charge of the Ancient Roman Empire? That's news to me too! Where do you learn this stuff??

@Lionehaza Nice try. The Romans persecuted the Jews too. Rome said you could worship whatever you wanted as long as you ALSO worshiped the Roman pantheon. Judaism says to only believe in and worship only one God - it's right there at the top of the Ten Commandments - Mosaic law is the heritage of Jews And Christians.
Sure, the Romans got a few highly placed Jewish people to agree with criminalizing Jesus, but that doesn't indict every Jewish person in antiquity; during his lifetime, Jesus was only known locally, and Judea was only around 70,000 people.

If I remember my Bible correctly (Mathey 27:24-25), and it has been decades since I read it, Pilate was only telling "The Jews" that Christ had committed no actual crime or crimes against the people, the Government, or that society in general. Christ had not committed any crime warranting punishment. He most likely saw in their eyes, and heard in their voices the "cry for blood," and Pilot knew what they were going to do to Christ, so he "washed" his hands of the whole situation.

Jewish tradition recognizes that Jews sometimes killed prophets. We acknowledge (truthfully!) that neither we nor our ancestors were perfect, and some of us have made terrible mistakes. But think about what you are saying. If some Jews, or some group of Jews, kill a prophet, how does that tell you anything about Jews in general? Are you going to say that Arabs have never killed righteous people? You cannot blame or characterize an entire people based on the actions of some of them at some point in time.
LadyGrace · 70-79
@SW-User Amen!!
LadyGrace · 70-79
The Bible doesn't give an account of how each and every one, died. The Bible records in James (Acts 12:2). King Herod had James “put to death with the sword,” likely a reference tobeheading. The apostle Peter was crucified upside-down in Rome in fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecy (John 21:18). Then of course, Judas committed suicide.

both Peoples are "Semitic" in that they use languages of the same root.
they are also linked genetically tho Jews have been admixed with many other genetic groups, since the diaspora. in Spain, in eastern Europe in India in Africa, so to be precise , the Arab world ( not to equate the Muslim world) is indeed Semitic

Missed again
address this, your contention is that ALL Jews are unified in thought belief and action, across time and generations
is this what you believe? that all persons of a similar kind are identical?
like all Jews are...X
Like All Muslims are..X
like All Arabs are....X
Matthew 27:24–25 so what? that does not link the Jews of today, with those of that time,
can you read Greek? I don't think so.. would you listen to an EXPERT in those times and languages. . Probably not. the roman governor rejected the religious circumstances of Jesus, instead finding him guilty not of crimes of belief,, no such thing in Roman law, He saw him as a rebel against the roman occupation.

Lionehaza · 31-35, M
Almost 90% of prophets sent to humans were from the bloodline of the jews yet they never accept one.During the time of Moses , they ate food from heaven ,after God trespass them through the red sea which is the greatest miracle jews started to worship an idol while moses was gone to receive ten commandments revelation from GOD.
So-called prophets are humans. Humans kill other humans. And then they like to tell stories. And these stories can in turn be used to kill anew.
