both Peoples are "Semitic" in that they use languages of the same root.
they are also linked genetically tho Jews have been admixed with many other genetic groups, since the diaspora. in Spain, in eastern Europe in India in Africa, so to be precise , the Arab world ( not to equate the Muslim world) is indeed Semitic
