Yup! I'm not sure I'm religious. Spiritual, but not a spiritualist. I do not like organized religion and the guilt and shame used to manipulate and hurt people. I feel it's an open excuse to be judgemental and it reeks of my pooo don't stank kinda vibe. I'm guessing not all churches are like that, but I battle it. I see through the bs of people so it makes it hard to be around a lot of people

@ThesebootsRhungry I don't know anything about the guy to whom this quote is attributed, but it resonates with me!

I have tried to go to church years ago I was really struggling and needed something I thought church might help me but because of my tourette's I was asked to leave. So I've never been back
@Cigarguy101 Wow! That's just effffed up. That's why I don't go either. Very cliquey and holler than thou...i couldn't muster it!

🙋 I'm not crazy religious but I like so many of the stories and the concept of God being there. Congregational Churches are the best I've been to...pretty easy going.
I'm not religious but I do believe in God
I'm struggling with organized religion
I like the idea of community but it is also depends on who is part of that

I don’t hate church, but every time I went I got too emotional to sit beside strangers.
And since then, I have become enraged by the snake oil salesmen (and women), who have turned a lot of churches into a den of thieves.
None of this has to do with my faith. I just dissociated from religion as a profitable franchise.

Yes, there is definitely something wrong with a religion when it becomes a multi-billion dollar industry.

@Mamapolo2016 same!

I'm not religious, but if I were, I'd certainly stay away from the ones that focus more on politics than faith, and the practice of faith.
@calicuz once I was told non believer is a bad influence, never associate with non believers

That's how you can identify false doctrine, the false doctrine Christ warns against. They tell you not to associate with non believers, while Christ sat at the table with non believers. 🙄

I'm no Religious nor go to Church. Jesus Christ is all I need
@FreestyleArt If you're reffering to the Christ of the Bible that statement makes no sense.
In the New Testament membership of a local church is assumed.

You are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Me cause some so called church people don't even believe in god anymore
gregloa · 61-69, M
Then they aren’t religious.
Lostpoet · M
@gregloa You would know better than most, brother. I made this post because I have been looking for my faith again, but what's going on in my life I can't trust anyone. Even when I do go to church it feels fake and the room is full of fake people. I know there's a God, I just don't know what he wants from us.
church is more of a distraction

No, the idea of God is ridiculous. It’s just Santa Claus for adults. Or just a father figure because you never grow up.
