polytheism or monotheism?

as for me currently i am a polytheist (hindu)
are you monotheist? (judaism , christianity, islam)
islam is purest form of monotheism i believe as no statues or pictures are used for worship

that's true. But I don't get what's wrong with idol worship really. I mean, like, humans are a see, feel, touch creatures. So, how do you worship something you can't see. I mean, I know my boyfriend is there, because I can see him. I don't understand why idol worship is wrong.

Theism is defined as the belief in the existence of at least one deity. This belief can manifest in various forms, including:
Monotheism: The belief in a single deity, as seen in religions like Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.
Polytheism: The belief in multiple deities, common in religions such as Hinduism and ancient pagan traditions.
Theistic beliefs often include structured doctrines and practices associated with organized religions. These religions typically emphasize a relationship with God or gods through rituals, prayers, and moral codes. Theism tends to be more external, focusing on communal worship and adherence to established teachings

In contrast, spirituality is a broader concept that encompasses a personal quest for meaning and connection to something greater than oneself. Key characteristics of spirituality include:
Personal Experience: Spirituality emphasizes individual experiences and insights rather than prescribed beliefs or rituals.
Inner Journey: It focuses on self-discovery, inner peace, and personal growth through practices like meditation, mindfulness, or contemplation.
Inclusivity: Spirituality often embraces various paths to truth and understanding, viewing them as interconnected rather than exclusive.
Spirituality is generally more fluid and adaptable compared to the rigid structures often found in organized religion. It encourages individuals to explore their own beliefs and experiences without necessarily adhering to dogma

Mono. But...I like the Unity concept of God within all of us and everything. God is the field that binds the energy of the universe and creates the matter we see and sense. It experiences life through us. It is not separate. So not just mono, but super mono. We are all one with God.
Logical thought wasn't listed, try that unknown, not included in an actionable way in the training data, keeps the machine searching for what it will never know

I believe in nulltheism. There is no god only science reality and earth.
We live observe and adjust. Why believe in something people have already defined for you to believe?
Think for yourself then aim to improve reality. Also i wrote my own the Oath of Human Citizenship; when the voice in my head said, "quick write this down." One humanity one workforce one earth.

@nobodyishome not sure why that's funny?
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
@Doomflower umm because she was askin if one is a poly or mono and you said Atheism haha. I don't know. Funny
Doomflower · 41-45, M
@nobodyishome I added atheism because the OP asks polytheism or monotheism as if those were the only two options and I happen to be atheist.

Lots of people don't even consider the possibility that there are no gods so it seemed worth putting out there.

I am god myself.
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
@OriginalDumbMan 😂😂
A Hindu, who has scores of statues thinks a religion with none is the purest?

I’m not sure you’ve thought that through.
Dhritii · 22-25, F
@DazzaTheHutt i said purest form of monotheism ehich means extreme monotheism... no statue no photo no cross etc nothing
@Dhritii That’s very flimsy statement. Perhaps you should try Hindu practice with no statues and be pure yourself.
Dhritii · 22-25, F
@DazzaTheHutt i am a polytheist.. pure polytheist

Absence of idolatry isn't a good argument as it occurs in both monotheism and polytheism. The better argument would be absence of a trinity. Still, there is no god or gods.
