I'm not religious. But if I had to choose one it would be Pentacostal. I am actually under that identity. What about you. What religion or teaching are you currently participating in. Pagans allowed to answer too. Best answer wins. 🙂 📖.
I like to call myself a Christian, right now I don't go to church, but I grew up Anglican and went to the Pentecostal church some years back. I believe in a spiritual entity, that miracles happen everyday and a little bit of faith can carry you a long way. Especially these days, where everyday is a struggle for so many and the world needs to start loving again instead of spreading around hate and violence.
@sensualbeauty1 I'm pretty sure you could imagine how amazing it would be. I have and i love believing in the possibility of it happening one day. societal influence, on both sides, is the reason why it makes it so hard to foresee happening. that's always been the problem, in every generation. which has caused all of those/these unnecessary wars and conflicts.
I'm Jewish. Not sure what would qualify as a "best answer", LOL, but I'll share a story. A wise old rabbi was once being pestered by a bunch of students. They teased and teased him, tired of his lessons, and finally insisted that he try to explain the Torah (the first five books of the Bible) to them while standing on one foot. He did as they asked, saying, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. The rest is commentary. Now go and study."
I'm not religious, nor political...but I feel that I am spiritual with an honest moral compass. I believe in treating people fairly....in a manner of how you would expect and want to be treated. I believe we NEED to be more understanding, and not necessarily insist on being understood no matter what. Work hard, to get lucky. Give if you can to those less fortunate who can make better for themselves and others because of it. If people had that sort of mindset, this world would be such a better place. Our race is plagued with ego driven hearts that ooze with lust and greed.
I looked up the meaning: PentEcostal and agree that my inclination too is towards experiencing than mere blind following although some countable times, i follow what my beloveds say/do just to make them feel good.
Nothing specific other than that. Be good; DoGood and if it can't be done, just DoNothing. Simple as that.
I'm a Christian. I'm not right-wing fundamentalist, i care about the poor and vulnerable, the environment, social justice, I'm into science and physics and philosophy and thinking for myself, I go to a church with lots of people who are similar and all very active in helping people in community and I also have charismatic/ pentecostal roots.
Yes. I am an active member of a Protestant denomination, although my theology doesn't exactly match the official doctrine of that denomination or the doctrine of any other Christian denomination.
@Zonuss I came to the realization that what the church teaches and what they condone are 2 completely different things. However, what is embraced by Heathenery is honor loyalty bravery honesty and wisdom. Along with strength. I also had a very very very deep spiritual experience with a Norse God. It is this experience that I consider my spiritual awakening to my path. If you want I am willing to talk more about it privately so if you want shoot me a message (yes that goes for anyone over the age of 18)
@whowasthatmaskedman I couldn't agree more and I am a Christian. Don't know which Jesus he's following, but I think it's the one who treats the poor and outcast like shyte, says anything to get a following, lies to get out of trouble and does the bidding of his wealthy and powerful donors. He's talking about the Australian prime minister.
