The.practice of settling the mind may release stress and improve your wellbeing.

It is also used in meditative prayer

Central to Zen practice of zazen too.

The basis of zazen is to harmonise your head, posture and mind.

Never heard of zazen. I like guided meditations to help me fall asleep sometimes.

by Shunmyo Masuno.

Basically it is a controlled breathing technique, using the lower body.
The Zen masters can reduce their breathing to four a minute. I can do that too, but that is only because I’m a clarinetist, nothing to do with Zen.
