What is your biggest fear about relationships?

Mine is that a woman would go after my money (retirement savings - I don't have normal savings) and my house and try to take those in seperation or divorce leaving me and my young daughter with nothing.

I can fully cope with my other relationship fears around dating and sex but losing my financial assets is a fear I would probably not be able to put to rest regardless of how genuine a woman claimed to be interested.

My first ex took the house and some of my retirement savings and second ex ruined my soul and belief in myself.

I am no attorney but I believe in some states, a couple has to be together for a certain amount of time before there is even talk of forking over one's assets to their ex. Except in California where I have heard that divorce laws are the worst in the nation.

Anyways my fear is that I just do not need someone trying to tell me how to live, or things seem to be going well but then they just one day decide to split.

I have no fear in our relationship. When we were dating in college and she was going out with other guys, I was always afraid she would dump me. After all, she saw them every day, and she only saw me once or twice a month for a few hours. She told me not to worry, but I did.

Fear

My 1 & only relationship.

Overseas student early 30's, at Uni in my town, Dated for 4 months, she moved in, after 10 months we were planning her Immigration and citizenship. ( American )

She finished her Degree, emptied my house ( all furniture, washing machine, Dryer, Tv's, Etc ) and went back home to her hubby.

I had purchased her a car & jewellery.

I got used, big time.

never again
