What is it like to be married 1/2/5/10/20/50 years?

Almost 20 years. The thing is, most people think they can relax, be fat, or look gross because they are married now. That is the fast track to misery. Marriage requires more effort, both personally and as a couple, than dating ever did. I want to be the very best version of myself at all times. I stay fit and healthy, and I do everything possible to look and dress in ways that please my husband. Publicly, I am his loving and caring wife and the mother of his children. Privately, I am a terror under the sheets, and he has to be in great physical shape to survive the night in my bed! He, of course, does not want to be outdone...so he brings his A-game to bed with him! 😉

He is the love of my life, and our marriage is the culmination of both of us taking good care of it. Neither of us wants to lose that.

It was worth the trouble.

50 years is lifespan really. For better or worse, depending on what the pair of you managed to achieve as opposed to what you wanted. My wife is in care with dementia now. But we made a hell of a difference on the journey and thats how I remember us..😷

We've been a couple for over 50 years, married for over 40 years. It feels natural, just the way life should be for us.

I guess it's a different experience for different people.
