Marriage is a governmental function that is handled by a subcontractor, the church.
because the subcontractor has objections to things related related to what marriage should look like. Doesn’t give give the church the right to tell the government what it should look like.

Sure, but I think if no one had been screaming about someone not performing their ceremony, but instead had simply moved on to someone who would - a lot less people would even be thinking about it in either a negative or a positive light. They just wouldn't care.

I am not opposed to it. To say that I support it makes me feel like I'm actively doing something to help it happen, lol. If by consent I am then fine. Anyone who wants to get married is free to as far as I'm concerned.
