Look guys if I offend you about what I said about interracial relationships I’m very sorry. I wasn’t trying to hurt anybody. I was just stating my opinion and i just prefer my own race. I’m not trying to tell people what to do. They can do whatever they want but I was stating my opinion.
@TurtlePink I see. I’ll admit they’re beautiful families, but I don’t support it at all. I just believe interracial relationships and marriage are WRONG.
Oh you weren't offensive . There are some here who want to control and censor what we say. I married within my race and never considered dating outside of it when I was single. That's just the way I was raised. My black and hispanic co workers are not offended because my husband is white and we are not offended because their spouses are black and hispanic. I am not offended by those that found love outside their own race. They are cute and are very happy. You love who you love, just be happy.
@TexChik Thank you so much. I mean everyone was raised differently. I wasn’t trying to be offensive to anyone. I just prefer my own race and I was raised by it too. I have a cousin that dated a Latino and most of my family (not all) had a hard time accepting him. We have another cousin (who is dead to us) that’s married to a black woman and has four children. His parents disowned him and refused to see their grandchildren. Most of us disowned him but not everyone. For those who still talk to him we can’t make them stop talking to him, that’s their choice.
How in the world can you prefer something that is not objectively definable biologically? Race does not exist in biology other than MAYBE as a form of a phenotype descriptor. It is a self-created illusion.
It is a supeficial way to try to differentiate something as a means for then ascribing this or that as "superior." We are all blood and flesh bags on a pile of bones. ... and one of millions of species of "Earthlings." The 'race' descriptor is a tragicomedy at best. I am sad for you and hope life experience brings you greater wisdom.
@Neoerectus Exactly. And there is also more genetic variation within the so called 'races' than between them.
Ultimately, there is so much ambiguity between the races, and so much variation within them, that two people of European descent may be more genetically similar to an Asian person than they are to each other (Figure 2).
I believe people are entitled to their opinions, and should be free to express them, regardless of topic, unless it’s something so heinous or unlawful.
How is that a violation lol !! ? Almost everybody stays within the same race but that does not mean they are racist. It is your own choice in life and does not regard anybody else.
@revenant She went so far as to say interracial relationships should be illegal. Now she's backtracking, saying it's just her opinion. But she flat out said interracial marriage should never have been legalized. That's why she was reported.
@revenant it is, but as offensive as that is, I don't feel terribly comfortable with people being officially censured for giving a philosophical opinion. Especially when it is unevenly applied.
@PetiteJulie01 Nope, I got it. English is not my first language. I translate everything I read, but sometimes, I trip over expressions until I discover context, and then, I correct it internally. ... It's not ethnicist to prefer relations with one's own ethnicity majority. It's only ethnicist to promote it in a hateful and spiteful manner.
{@petitejulie01] granted everyone is entitled to make a point but there are two golden rules . if the opinion is going too be deemed offensive it is best too think it rather than say it .just think about how you can express yourself carefully without what you say being taken out of context . 😄 a bit of an old mans advice there for you
Everybody is entitled to do as they wish. Like saying if i dont vote for Obama i was racist no just means i dont like the democratic platforms nothing more......
@DeluxedEdition Good for you! Believe me, sticking with your OWN kind is the best decision ever! You won’t regret it. I mean people can do whatever they want, but I don’t like mixed dating.
I personally experienced a lot of racism when I did it outside of my race people think it’s OK to be racist towards white people and society seems to except that for some reason
Nonetheless u won’t make that mistake again @PetiteJulie01
So this warning you got: it's about that post you made about disagreeing w/interracial relationships? Sorry to ask, but you're quite sure this isn't a straw man? The warning on your profile is about that post you made about disagreeing w/interracial relationships? It's not about something else?
@LordShadowfire That’s all I was saying. Preferring my own race gene it comes to dating isn’t racist. Let’s face the facts, MOST people prefer their own race and looks like them.
You are 110% allowed to share your opinions....why is it always ok for the people who think they have a voice but not others. Share your thoughts whether they are unpopular or not. You have the right!!!
@caesar7 I recall her specifically saying that interracial marriage should never have been legalized. Do you stand by that opinion? Do you defend it? Keep in mind, the First Amendment does not specify that one cannot have one's posts deleted on social media by the owner of the website if the owner decides they are inappropriate.
