Not at all.

SW-User
Maybe not cheating in full definition, but It's definitely not helpful to the primary relationship.
WanderLustChick · 36-40, F
People Usually cheat when they start having feelings for someone else..couldnt you associate getting to know someone and starting a friendship can quickly lead to something else? It's like opening a door to me.
WanderLustChick · 36-40, F
Alright let's throw this into the mix. If he's liking smutty instagram pics and talking to them would it make you uncomfortable that they are "friends"?
SW-User
@WanderLustChick: If you tell him you're uncomfortable with him doing something, and he keeps doing it, then he clearly doesn't care about your feelings or you. If he's flirting with another woman you should probably toss him aside. If he's unwilling to show you the conversations, he probably has things to hide. It's not that complicated
SW-User
yep that would be uncomfortable.
WanderLustChick · 36-40, F
@MrMagic: your right

@allygator18: Broken relationships. I wonder if the authors ever thought to ask men about their girlfriends having male friends online.

Yeah, it happens. But not every guy is going to be a jackass.

@allygator18: Lovely, but again, just because one person (or several) have ended up cheating after becoming friends online does not mean everyone will. That would be like saying just because one father screwed his daughter every dad out there wants to.
Memorials · 26-30, F
I believe everybody has their own boundaries in regards to cheating. I believe that if it makes you feel uncomfortable, that is not a good sign - may it be an overbearing nature of jealousy or actually provoking behaviour from his side. Try to sort it out with him at least, and communicate properly. Trust is the number one rule in a relationship.
WanderLustChick · 36-40, F
I literally talked to a guy about it. Asked to see the conversation and the response I got was him saying I had to trust him and two minutes later he smashed his phone in a million pieces...
SW-User
@WanderLustChick: Find someone better.
Tinkerhell · 41-45, F
No...why would talking to people be a bad thing?
Allelse · 36-40, M
I think the same rules apply to social media as they would in the real world.
SW-User
talking no.. cant limit people form socializing but how they socializing yeah can end up cheating. who they socialize with can be kind of crossing a line. if they get flirtatious with girls yeah. if they get sexual then yeah if they know a girl is a certain way and they like socializing with them that can be troublesome.. i kind of dont trust people on social media for bf/gf most of the people on social media just fool around with ungodly number of people.
SW-User
... is it cheating for a girl to talk to guys? I can't imagine it would be. it seems like it'd be a 'doing things you'd be upset if the other person did' sort of thing.
abe182 · 51-55, M
Half the people here are "cheating" the other half are opposed to it. Live and let live.

@allygator18: I'm ok with that
Enchanted · 56-60, F
Talking about what is the question?
SW-User
I think it depends on the type of guy
SW-User
Not in my opinion.
Ynotjenn · F
Naw. I wouldn't think so
Entirely dependent on the conversation. As a default no. If he is: fantasizing sexually with them, arranging to physically cheat with them, declaring his love for them, and/or sending/receiving nude photos then yes.

If he is holding a platonic conversation/carrying on a platonic friendship then not at all.
marquisechrissy · 26-30, F
I would say it depends on what they're talking about really and who she is to him. His sister and talking about family things? That's fine. A coworker and talking about work stuff? Sure. Some stranger and about things he doesn't want you to see? Problem!
bhatjc · 46-50, M
No,if he truly loves you. Then he knows which side is bread is butter. Because he loves you the most
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@WanderLustChick: Some guys who are married,Still flirt to see if they got it. But if your man is truly your man. He should only love you. But if you are safe in your relationship. You should know. He has only eyes for you.
WanderLustChick · 36-40, F
@bhatjc: but why would you need affirmations like that. Is it so hard to not flirt if you love someone jeez
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@WanderLustChick: I agree nothing wrong with that. But do you think it's cheating if your guy flirts with other woman
abe182 · 51-55, M
Dunno. Probably. Don't care lol
SW-User
No, it is only cheating if they are involved in a sexual act. Chatting is more innocent because there is no face to face contact
496sbc · 36-40, M
No I would say not. But ask questions and see whats going on. Is there a problem with the relationship.
Tminus6453 · M
Not yet but why is he talkin to them? and do they live within close proximity?
WanderLustChick · 36-40, F
Exactly why..
SW-User
No, as long as it's done appropriately with good intent ...it's all about intent
mic11225 · 26-30, M
of course not. If hes flirting or speaking romantically then it gets blurry but just talking is fine
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
No... unless he is hiding it!!! Then that's a little different
madasalizard · 36-40, M
Well that depends on what they are actually saying.
SW-User
Depends how and what they're talking about
Balrix · 46-50, C
Depends on the conversations they're having
To a point depends on what there doin but im not gonna stop lol
Oster1 · M
Walking a very fine line, imo....🙂
Coppercoil · M
Depends what they talk about
CaptainCanadia · 41-45, M
Does his wife know about it?
wudifu · 46-50, M
only if he deletes it afterwards for his better half not to see
SW-User
Not cheating unless there is physical contact between them
Goralski · 56-60, M
Depends if she makes him come
Footballstar · 26-30, M
No. It's not if a girl talks to guys either

Yes. No-brainer
SW-User
No. Expecting someone to have no friends of the opposite gender is ridiculous
Depends on the agreement he has with his partner. If he's not saying anything he wouldn't share with her, and would be okay with his partner speaking with guys on social media, then, no.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
No. Cheating is mainly when the talking turns to actual sex. So if he hasnt gone that far yet then you are safe.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Only if a dick picture is given.

I disagree, I would consider: Declaring non platonic love for someone, kissing, inappropriate fondling, sending nudes...etc. cheating.
