They don't work for you - they work for a small pool. The rest of us get pushed to the bottom like garbage. Better to random message on SM pages set up for dating these days, and some of them are shockingly bad!
With so many social media sites where people can show an interest in you and you them and follow/message each other. I don’t really know why people still use dating sites.

Things go in cycles. Gotta fight the overabundance of online gimmicks with more irl activity.
Got to a major metropolitan area fancied by tourists like Manhattan or London, and have a "schtick".
Not a wooden "schtick".
Not a "schtick" between your legs.
Like a thing that might attract people to you. Be painting a monument in Central Park, or a photographer in Times Square, or interviewing passers-by about some topic of interest, or something like that.
I was actually bored one day and I got on one of those swipe dating sites. I did find a few people like 20 miles away. Most of them was in like Tulsa and that is like 40 min drive
Tinder does apparently, had a mate who went on it and he was so successful he finished it, got to level 20 in about 6 weeks before there were no more people to date.
My dating site experience is ten years out of date, and even then it was largely futile. Especially for men. The places were overcrowded with dudes looking for easy lays and making yourself stand out among a crowd of sleezeballs and fukbois who will say anything to get a foot in the door was nearly impossible.
