Does every person have an affair at some stage in their life?

What is an 'affair?'
Theres lots of different types i believe. Are any acceptable? Any worse than others?

I guess that depends on the relationship you have with your other half and the boundries you agree to. My husband is pretty jealous, and the same guy liking my pics twice on social media is an affair to him!!! Lol.

Not everyone but it seems quiet the norm these days! Does make me laugh how when people get caught they say I didn't mean it etc! Eh yes you did it's a choice.

This is a tough definition.

I went out to dinner with an old collegue from work, as he was lonely, and we both loved nee food and architecture. (we went for a walk, afterwards to look at old houses)

My boyfriend at the time, who partied, didn't come Home till morning, and spoke of other women.... Was horrified.

He could be out all night, even bring women home to his man cave, and spend all night with them.... And he didn't see it as doing something wrong.

I go out to dinner.... Once - and he considers me a whore.

Betrayal is a broad spectrum.

But. At the core.... It's the Emotional stuff that counts the worst.

Everyone seeks comfort and when you find it, it can be irresistible no matter what it's form.

It’s probably more common than society would like to admit as a whole. The commonality of it is still a very taboo subject. Everyone tries to portray a perfect relationship. To some degree I admire people with open marriages because they’re trying to cope with their natural human desire to want to explore sex with other humans while remaining committed to loving their significant other/ partner. We have adopted this notion through the western Christian tradition that our marriage partners have to always give us everything. Emotional Stability, love, sex, rearing children, close friendship, financial stability etc. It’s a lot and they’re still supposed look great in a pair of heels lol. Idk. Affairs, multiple spouses, non monogamy in marriages is nothing new and has been going on for centuries with people. If you look at other ancient cultures. The modern marriage is a very contractual thing almost business like love feelings and sex are just two components in it. Its not everything The older Ive gotten the less judgemental ive become on how other people function as it relates to love and sex. As long they’re not breaking the law. Lol. We’re really just beginning to understand how we as humans fully function.

I think many yeah, but not every. Social media and online dating sites has not done us any favors either. It made it easier, gives a way for many to do it and then easily justify it cause they don't have "actual" sex. But it's still cheating, even if just emotional and time spent given to another other than spouse

I would say that being challenged about your long term relationship is common. It is about what is acceptable to your partner or not,or your own moral code too. But it's about emotional attachment,deceipt and trust .

I think the weak have affairs. Not everybody does it.
