What is true love? Is it something that grows over time or is it something that you feel when...

i think about the people i truly love romantically -- only three over my lifetime. Time will determine if it is true love.

True love is caring more about someone than yourself, wanting the best for them. When everything you do is with them in mind. You think of them all day and dream of them all night.Your happiness comes from making them happy. When they're sad - you are even more sad. Together you become one and nothing else matters.
To me that's what true love is.

It's a hard thing to find the right person. I was tricked when I got married. She was a narcissist just being nice until we were married. Also if you do find the right person both of you have to work at the relationship or it will die, even if you're really a good match.

I think love starts as lust and attraction. It's only over time that we can actually grow to love a person. When you first meet you don't even know someone. How can you love a person you don't know?
