Boyfriend won’t buy me jewellery

@Jadetherabbit I used to love to buy my wife dresses that were hundreds of dollars (I don't care how well off we were .I am neven paying thousands on a dress ,but she would take them back and get 3 dresses with the money and I would have been ok with that ,but it was all about she thought I spent to much money on one dress ,,Pink Ice ,she would take it back I would buy white roses (long stem ) have them sprayed on the tops with her favorite color (purple or lavender) and she would bitch me out for spending so much money on her so I stopped ,,it wasn't I didn't care
I worked with a bad back to pay off our home and our cars and everything we owned ,,I was only making payments on my back surgery
And she bitched all I did was worked
Our home was just paid for ,all our toys were finally paid for ,,and just when I can finally enjoy the fruits of my labor she leaves me .she was tired of being alone
and my doctor told her nothing was wrong with me ,she was tired of living with some one who lived off of drugs
The found the reason my arm was paralyzed after she left me ,,it was not in my head ,it was not to try and get drugs ,I was in severe pain and NO ONE believed me
After she left I was finally awarded my disability

So I have come to the conclusion I am just damed if I do
damned if I don't

We could have finally enjoyed our life ,she gave up on me way to soon ,,and her leaving destroyed who I was
She had our home ,our 401-K ,my tax returns for the year
she sold my classic Mustang
I ended up homeless ,,starting over from scratch
disabled ,and not even knowing who I was anymore
She was what I lived for
Now that I understand women better ,,I am to old to care
I wasted enough of my life trying to make others happy
Now the only thing I have that shows for it that matters are my kids and grandkids ,,,they never give up on me
Everything else is just stuff ,,
Everything else I can replace ,,I can't replace that kind of love ,sometimes we need to loose it all
So we can get our priorities in order and see what really matters ,what really lasts
Loosing someone you love more then life is a big eye opener

Agree it more important to love then to worry about material things am not normally materialistic to be honest , I love walks being outdoors and playing computer games and drawing are my hobbies, I Am sorry to hear that happened to you I would of been grateful for whatever dress I got and keep it not swap it that’s just rude she sounds like she was hard work Yeah lucky am not keen on dresses or too fussed with that stuff haha but would of been grateful my bf thought of me and what I would like even if it was socks or a cheap somthing I can wear to me it’s values more and would mean more to me then food and I can keep it forever lol x you are right maybe I shouldn’t be worrying about it just be happy I got my BF just enjoy our life together and he does do long hours at times

@rckt148 commutation understanding about things are important she wasn’t commcating with you about what she wanted, am guessing she complaining lot then both of you had. Then Chatting about it to find common ground make your feelings known and hers,

It wasn’t expensive I would of said fair enough if I lost somthing that 50 pounds or somthing @xixgun

Am all for that but he doesn’t wear any part from collecting gold necklaces in the past before he met me , for money for a rainy day he wouldn’t wear them lol@4meAndyou

Been together 2 and a halve years he does treat me well though yeah his mum and my mum don’t see eye to eye she’s very controlling at times her way no way if that makes sense somtimes she can be nice my bf worry’s a lot when his mum flaps about somthing he not done
he left home now though @morrgin

Trying to prove to his parents he can achieve things price then wrong like his mum thinks he wlll be coming home or won’t be able to afford where he lives even though up the road when he should be happy with what he achieved. Know he looking for his mums approval

[@they are cheapish but I loved them as he hasn’t got lot of money with his job but didn’t care about the price long not too expensive it’s the thought of it counts to me more
