It's been almost 10 years now, and she still sends a text every now and then, even though I haven't given a single response in over 7 years.

@Zaphod42 It's been 20 years (this month actually) since my divorce was final...I see my ex on occasion, but I don't even talk to her unless I absolutely have to and even then it's nothing more than cordial brief business-like interaction. She has never tried to contact me which as I said in my reply...makes me extremely happy.
