Would you let your partner look at your phone/texts?

Fantabulous · 46-50, F
Nope I wouldn't.
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
yeah I have nothing to hide. He never does do that but instead prefers taking weird photos on my phone that I find later on lol
ethereal · F
Yes. I've got nothing to hide, i'm honest in my relationship and so is he.
ZeroFox · 36-40, M
Sure.
I keep all my incriminating content hidden away behind passwords.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
Texts sure, internet history...well might be a good way to get the evening going eh?
indyjoe · 56-60, M
Wouldn't bother me at all, I have nothing to hide. We would never ask such a thing of each other though because we trust each other, neither of us has ever given any reason to doubt the other, and we share most all information with each other anyway...so why would we even dream of prying or spying.
Greengiant65 · 80-89, M
I would if they really wanted to, as I have nothing to hide, but it's not something that I would encourage, as I think that everyone is entitled to have private areas if they need them.
toddr13 · 46-50, M
I wouldn't mind, but she has a tendency to move apps around, which drives me insane. Hence, it's easier to give her one of my other phones as opposed to my primary number.
Peppa · 31-35, F
There's nothing actually there to look at. The only people I text is now mum again occasionally my uncle, work and him. My life is a bore.
indyjoe · 56-60, M
@Peppa I don't really text at all...the only exception is a text I'll send to the guy who cuts our lawn to see what day he will be coming...so don't feel bad.🤠
Peppa · 31-35, F
@indyjoe but we're at different stages in our life. That's the problem.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
sure, being that I'm one of them old fashioned people that believe phones are meant for talking and not texting, and therefore don't have data/text on my phone 🤔
SerenitiesScars · 36-40, M
Yeah.. But.. Not in the obsessive way.. Like all the time.. But like if they wanted to check it at random like a safe check thing and it had been a couple weeks or whatever..
SW-User
Sure.
But I would be annoyed if he did it because he did not trust me. That kind of behaviour is just waiting for bad things to happen in the future.
SW-User
Not that I have anything to hide, but other peoples privacy has to be respected.
indyjoe · 56-60, M
@SW-User I agree...I would never go through and snoop into my wife's personal things, nor would she mine. Like I said in my reply, we share pretty much everything anyway and have no reason to doubt or mistrust one another. I know that she will tell me or show me something if she feels/thinks I need to know, and if she doesn't then I know she has a good reason for it (and it's nothing shady) which practically doesn't happen so I don't ask let alone spy or snoop...and she pays me the same respect.
SW-User
@indyjoe I give my partner that same respect too although she doesn’t give me that same respect.
indyjoe · 56-60, M
@SW-User Unfortunately a lot of times what you give to and do for someone else isn't always reciprocated, I've been there many times before myself. I've not only got a good but also a fair partner now though and I couldn't be more thankful for that.
sarahcupcake · 36-40, F
Yes I would but I'd like some sort of reasonable explanation as to why she wanted to study them. I'd like to think I can be trusted.
SW-User
sure, i have nothing to hide. but i'm not into being demanded to do certain things just because someone else is feeling insecure.
SW-User
Well if I had a partner he could look. Of course, I wouldn't be getting some of the texts I do now
SW-User
as long as i get to see theirs - i'll be open but i won't bend over my back and be a fool
SW-User
Sure. They're all from my family and friends, anyway.
Sure. I don't have anything to hide. Still, it would be weird.
Goralski · 56-60, M
Thank god fo incognito mode
SW-User
Yes. I don’t mind
Maggimay · 46-50, F
Yes i would.
