Do you keep memorabilia from past relationships?

It's really weird if you do, move on.

I'm not talking about life changing, never gonna have anything better stuff.

Depends on how long the relationship was as to whether it's weird or not in my opinion. If just three months and you're hanging on to their toothbrush, fair enough but where do you draw the line? I still have all of my husband's stuff which I will eventually have to deal with but not yet. I will never get rid of our wedding or my engagement ring but does that make me weird? Any future partner will have to accept that there will always be things of my husband I want to keep and if he can't, he won't be the man for me.

@PatientlyWaiting25 I guess I wasn't talking to something like that, that's fair

The only thing I have for my past relationship is my amazing children
WillaKissing · 61-69, M
Only from the one and only marriage I had because we had children together. The kids saw the bad times and divorce, but I saved everything from dating till the divorce to give to the kids as they turned adults, so they knew I did love their mother at one point in time.

Nope. I actually GAVE AWAY all the jewelry the last ex gave me...I didn't even want to sell it. AND I got rid of all of his photos except for one, which is hidden away.

@4meAndyou if I could hit ctrl+alt+dlt in my brain on my previous relationship, even though it was 20 years, I think I would

@averageguy Well, we DO have to remember that there was SOME good. I think the first fifteen years, event though there was physical abuse...(before I fell out of love with him and before he became abusive in all kinds of DIFFERENT ways)...of my marriage...were actually pretty good. I remember the abuse, for sure...but I also remember a LOT of happy times. The LAST ten years though...just a nightmare.

@4meAndyou true, throwing out the good isn't necessary
