She’s an adult so it’s fine
bill117 · 46-50, M

Softandsweet2 · 31-35, F
I see nothing wrong with it at all. Both are adult and capable of making their own decisions. Why does society feel that they need to intervene. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work, but there can be some wonderful years.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
It's actually fairly traditional historically, but our current society has become very ageist and judgemental. But if it makes them happy, who cares and who has the right to care?
bill117 · 46-50, M
@ChipmunkErnie yeah but these judgements might make their lives difficult no?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@bill117 Yes, societal pressure is well known for making the lives of people difficult, even painful. The pressure to conform to whatever is the current norm seems universal.
KentuckyFriedFloozy · 26-30, F
I was with a guy for a bit when I was 22 and he was 52. Lol
justanothername · 51-55, M
@KentuckyFriedFloozy How old was his daughter?
KentuckyFriedFloozy · 26-30, F
bill117 · 46-50, M
@KentuckyFriedFloozy okay. Thanks
PinkMoon · 26-30, F
I'm 29 and my partner is 23 so I can't judge.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@PinkMoon and you never had any issues?
exexec · 70-79, C
I have seen relationships with that large and larger age gaps work fine.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@exexec thats good to know
YoMomma ·
Who’s judging?? When i was 21 i married a 48 year old so whatever .. she’s an adult age can make her own choices
bill117 · 46-50, M
@YoMomma yeah but how do we know she isnt being manipulated?
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
I had an eleven year age gap with one of my long term gfs
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@bill117 no bumps but I’d say our friendships don’t overlap too much. For example I’ll meet with my friends alone and I’ll say hello to his friends but he goes out with them on his own (unless their spouses are involved)

It’s interesting though bc even though I’m much younger I’ve lost both my parents and he still has both of his. So really, they are the only family I have.
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@bill117 oops i thought you were asking me about friendships sorry …
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
@bill117 I mix well with people of all ages and social backgrounds. I don’t have that many friends so it was mainly her friends and the. She and I together. No bumps.

That does not seem at all unusual to me and not a huge age difference. If it was 22 and 53 that might be different lol
Monalisasmith86 · 41-45, F
I think it’s ok personally I like older men sooo I don’t find it a problem
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
Yeah its wierd but if they genuinely care about eachother it is what it is. But if hes taking advantage of her then its really wrong.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@GuyWithOpinions what do you consider as taking advantage? Being physical?
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@bill117 like giving her false praise and coercing just for sexual reasons rather than respecting her as a person and developing a genuine relationship.
being · 36-40, F
All things can go wrong and all things can go right.
The worst happening in certain situations is that the younger partner may be more easily manipulated by the older one.
Or the older one turns stupid, trying to relax and follow the young one
being · 36-40, F
@samueltyler2 he asked what could go wrong and I replied to that
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@being yes, i just wondered though, is it all about sex?
bill117 · 46-50, M
@being thank you
masterofyou · 70-79, M
It's not a bad thing at all not an issue....
QCDog2659 · 61-69, M

bill117 · 46-50, M
@QCDog2659 okay

Hopelandia · M

bill117 · 46-50, M
