Not in Southern California... an hour won't even get you across town LOL
oldercanuck1 · 70-79, M
@BrattyLJ sounds like up here takes four days to get to visit family back east
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
I'd say it's getting close but if both people meet in the middle it's not that bad

My ex lived about an hour away. We couldn't always meet and in the end it fizzled out. So yes, probably.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
No. I mean sometimes my commute to work is an hour of traffic is heavy so I’d drive that to see a boyfriend.

I agree with another answer. Pick a place in the middle.

The two hour drive that separated us in college seemed like a long distance. I had no car for two years. Our only way of communicating was expensive long distance phone calls (max of two a week) and snail mail (every day). I saw her once or twice a month, and she was with other guys every day.

Lmao no.... over here that's everyones commute to work

It's all relative in a scale from next door to halfway across the world. If anyone wants to draw a line, it's their personal choice where to put it.
Elisbch · M
Normally, not for me but it would depend on how I would feel about her and chemistry. 1 hours drive would be my limit though.
MaryDreamilton · 46-50, F
Hell no. I can walk that far in my six-inch stilettos at 48 and think nothing of it.

Depends where you are. Certain times of day in Los Angeles you're an hour away from Los Angeles.

No. My drive to work is 40 minutes.
It could also take me 45 minutes to drive across the city to see someone.

I say NO. I’m a retired truck driver. An hour is like next to nothing.
My ldr was a 13hr flight and 4600 miles.

No that's still fairly close.
A hour is nothing.
ElRengo · 70-79, M
Not really.
For some it may mean a lazzy relationship.

Not for me or to me. Heck not even several hours away because I live so rurally.
Nick1 · 61-69, M
Nope.

no
GoogleSearch · 41-45, M
Yes but only in England and if you ride a donkey
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
Maybe for someone without car/public transit access. An hour would be easy to manage.
