They have county offices that will help with that if you qualify. Also many churches provide services to single mothers. You will gain a network of people that will provide support. Sorry you have to go through that 😞

destinyfabulous · 36-40, F

@destinyfabulous Okay but is your mom's house big enough for the kids well how old are they now?

Livingwell · 61-69, M
Sorry to hear this. Divorce creates lots of change. Old friends seem to disappear. You will make new ones from work, the gym, etc. I was a single dad for a while so I know that things will be rough for a bit. But you will catch your breath and a rhythm will be created. You should have a few days to rest up too. Change is tough but you will get used to it and even enjoy your new freedom. It just takes time.

In two years you’ll be wondering why you didn’t dump him first. You’ll be okay. Promise

Assuming you're in the US, your spouse can't just take the kids.

Do you have family nearby?
Do you have friends nearby?
Did your spouse leave?
Do you have a job?

You need a plan.

@Northwest not in the usa... i have a job and recently started a business... my spouse is the one who decided to end things .. although he is blaming me. I intend to contact an old colleague tmrw... thanks hun

I don't think this is the place to find someone but I hope you do find someone somewhere. Best wishes.

@hunkalove I don’t think she’s looking for someone
Sorry you feel that way and he left. Have to get courts involved.

you meant don't wanna ?

There should be a new law that dumping or divorcing must be equal to death and rebirth, where he has to assume death and be reborn as new person with new identity. So you get all his assets and he gets sacked from his job, since he is presumed dead.

try reaching out to your community through religion. Or you can always talk to people on here.
