Break off immediately. Grab the devices and account and report to police.

@SinlessOnslaught But legally recording someone nude without their knowledge is pretty much illegal anywhere no matter how they tend to actually handle it.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@REMsleep If you can see them nude, yeah. I thought she meant audio.
DownTheStreet · 56-60, M
I think it’s shitty of person doing the recording and a breach of trust
My exact feeling on the matter as well.@DownTheStreet

I've been filmed in intimate moments....but never without it having been discussed and agreed to upfront.
I wouldn't stay with someone who did that without my permission.

This is just like having a 'smart speaker' or smart TV connected to the Internet listening to people having sex. Anything sexual requires informed consent between all parties involved, and if you can't give informed consent for any reason (which includes taking photos or videos without permission), then it should be illegal just like rape and any other sexually-related crimes.
Jeephikelove · 51-55, F
Nothing should ever been done without your consent…period

That's a boundary crossed I don't tolerate. I don't see this happening though because i don't let anyone in my private space that doesn't know what boundaries are.
Yeah…also depends on the situation. If we’re together for years and he does this, I’ll be flattered.
If he does this in the first couple of days or months, I’d see red flags.

If I was married to a man who did that to me, then I would lose trust in him, probably not want any more intimacy, separate until he had completed some treatment.
I'd ask for the device and delete the images.
Then I'd have a conversation about boundaries and values. If my partner couldn't see why it was wrong I'd end it. If he agreed not to do it again I'd stay with him. However I'd buy a scanner to ensure no recording devices and I'd break off if he broke his word.

I've heard of women doing this (record stuff covertly) to make false accusations of rape, etc. but I guess it's applicable to men and women alike and probably equally too. I've never taken compromising/nude pics of my partners without permission. It's just so wrong and totally destroys any bond of trust. Just like a threesome that goes wrong because one of the people gets 'buyers remorse' or similar and feels like they were mis-treated or not given the same level of trust etc.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
Ask why and then break it off unless they have some really good reason. But idk what that would be.
Yeah that's an instantaneous run for the hills red flag if ever there was one!

I'd make sure he visits a mental asylum. You can't be sane and do that to someone.
Piper · 61-69, F
I can't think of any reason given, that would excuse such deceit and betrayal of trust.
Disguised · 56-60, M
They wouldn't life long enough for me to break it off...

That's a criminal offense in Washington State.

I would ask just in case there was some other reason I didn't understand, but about 95% already decided to leave. There's a whole bunch of values associated with someone deciding to take unilateral action which breaks trust in this way that make the actual act far less of a concern than what it says about who they are
SW-User
It's happened to me twice lol
It seems so incredibly invasive and unnecessarily so. Why not just ask? The worst anyone can say is no and there are plenty of people who probably wouldn't mind and may even enjoy it. @SW-User

I’d feel violated, and angry. I wouldn’t trust that person again, so it would be over.
OogieBoogie · F
Pissed off and betrayed.
They felt they had the freedom to do it🙄
And yeah, it was just part of a slow death of a relarionship.
Some people only care about thier boundries, and not others.

I don't think women would do that
REMsleep · 41-45, F
I would feel very violated wondering who has seen this material, if he is sharing it. Upset that I would possibly never know the truth or how many times it had happened. I would leave immediately and most likely report to the police. I would grab evidence on my way out.

I feel normal. My phone records me all the damn time when I'm using the bathroom amungst other adult things ffs
DDonde · 31-35, M
Wouldn't break it off instantly but I'd be kinda like what the fuck
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
Gone. Done. Instantly.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
