Break off immediately. Grab the devices and account and report to police.
It's basically, shitting on your trust in the most vulnerable moments.

@sarabi Are you sure it's illegal in Maldives?
sarabi · F
@SinlessOnslaught I'm not in the Maldives, but I'm sure it's illegal pretty much everywhere
SinlessOnslaught · M
@sarabi Where I live, you can pretty much record anyone, anytime.
sarabi · F
@SinlessOnslaught that's fucked up
SinlessOnslaught · M
@sarabi It's how my entire country is and I think it's right.
sarabi · F
@SinlessOnslaught you think it's right to not be entitled to any sort of privacy? Ex. someone filming you in your own home?
SinlessOnslaught · M
@sarabi I think it's right to be able to film anywhere you go. That doesn't mean you have the right to stay in someone's home when they tell you to leave. It only means you have the right to film them kicking you out, so they don't shoot you and say you threatened them or something.
sarabi · F
@SinlessOnslaught What about someone outside your house filming you through your window? Or someone filming you without consent and knowledge while doing the deed?
Or someone filming you in public bathroom while wiping? Or someone filming/photographing very important information, say in the bank, someone taking your data about your finances, health data etc? Cameras shouldn't be allowed everywhere. Or filming your children for predatory reasons?

@sarabi All of those would be harassment regardless of whether they're filming or not.
The only exception is someone filming someone during an intimate moment, in which case, they should still have the right because they could be trying to prove abuse or something like that. I actually have a situation in my life right now where I'm planning to film someone potentially harass/frame me and I'm so happy I have the right to.
What matters is what I'm allowed to DO with the film. For example, filming soneone having sex and then posting it online without consent would be illegal.
In each and every one of these cases, without fail, filming was allowed; and yet each case was still handled fairly. Filming should not be illegal.

@SinlessOnslaught Once filmed, that can be abused in various situations.
Filming should be illegal for places where one expects to live/be in privacy. Ex. home, bathroom, etc.

@sarabi That problem is solved with trespassing laws.
sarabi · F
@SinlessOnslaught the neighbors aren't trespassing 😂
SinlessOnslaught · M
@sarabi What can the neighbors do?
sarabi · F
@SinlessOnslaught film you from their property
SinlessOnslaught · M
@sarabi Why do you care?
sarabi · F
@SinlessOnslaught because i expect peace, comfort and safety in my home, and if someone is constantly watching my every move, that's out of the window.
SinlessOnslaught · M
@sarabi Then report them for harassment. Again, the camera is irrelevant. They can be charged for staring at you in any manner.
sarabi · F
@SinlessOnslaught The camera isn't irrelevant. Any footage can end up on a shady website for more perpetrators to see and abuse.
It's an instrument that can be used for bad and good,like any instrument, it needs regulations. If this website wasn't regulated, do you think we'd be having a semi ok time here?
I bet it would've been swarming with filth. Much more than the current level.

SinlessOnslaught · M
@sarabi I disagree. If you're that worried about someone filming you, you must be doing something shady.
sarabi · F
@SinlessOnslaught Privacy and safety are basic human rights.
And you apparently have never been physically and online stalked, involuntary taken photos of, and zoomed in your privates, perved upon woman, by gnarly, old, disgusting, or mentally disturbed (future or convicted ) sexual offenders, so I don't expect you to understand.

SinlessOnslaught · M
@sarabi Well if you want to play the victim game, I've been physically AND online stalked as well as had my video taken to have someone come shoot me; and the police did nearly nothing about it. I'm glad I have my right to film encounters like that.
SinlessOnslaught · M
@sarabi I'm disappointed that I have to bring that up in order to be taken seriously by you.
sarabi · F
@SinlessOnslaught I'm not playing anything. I'm explaining what's like to be a woman /girl on a daily basis.
And I believe you have the right to film in your house, others don't in most countries.
At least in my country.

SinlessOnslaught · M
@sarabi Yeah you're playing the "I'm a victim so you can't possibly understand my situation" game, which is bullshit.
sarabi · F
@SinlessOnslaught You're taken seriously.
You're the one assuming that "I must be doing shady things" to want basic privacy in my own home.
So I explained to you, "no, the reason for wanting privacy in my home is primarily safety".
Are you debating me or yourself?
