What did you ask your partner about their previous relationship?

Is she perverted like me? Would she go down on you in a theater?

He only had three girlfriends before me and only one of them was really serious. He told me all about them after we had been together a while.

Mostly why it ended which actually sounded weird to me (the reason). Apparently she just packed up and disappeared and gave him no notice and was completely caught off guard.

Later though I found old notes about the fact they argued and her son (not his biologically) was eating all the food as a growing teen and some other things he never told me about. He did mention she had a spending problem. And he won’t admit it but he has a hoarding problem she wasn’t happy about. So I suspect it couldn’t have been THAT much of a shock.

Asked him how long his longest relationship had been, asked if he'd ever had an STD, asked how many partners he's had (I think he lowered his true number lol).

All of my wife's previouss experience occurred when we were dating, primarily in college. She was free to date others while I was away at another college, and she dated every week when I wasn't with her. After we married, I asked if she had sex with her dates, and she said that she did. That was fine with me.

I wouldnt really want to know or care about their previous relationships after all, its who they are now that really matters.

Others kept telling me things . Wish they had kept their information to themselves . 🤔😢 Let me find out on my own 🌹

I have never asked any partner of mine about their previous relationships. Its the past and does not concern me at all. If they have ever wanted to tell me things, they are free to do so but i dont pry into peoples pasts especially on things like this that i dont really care to know

Honestly? Most of it was volunteered to me. So I can’t remember if I ever really asked. Lol

What ended it and how they contributed to the demise of the relationship. (If they’re unwilling to acknowledge any missteps and/or trash or disparage their ex in anyway, we don’t make it to the partner stage.)

I don't ask specifics immediately like a teenager but when I was dating I found it important to understand
1. How seriously have they dated before?
I was serious minded so I would be leery of someone that had never tried to have a relationship before.
2. Why did things end with the last girl?
You can learn alot from what they say, what their perception is about who they dated.
But I never ask outright it just comes out in getting to know the person.
