Oh nothing, just a cozy librarian on a rainy day📚

There’s something about being surrounded by books while it rains that just feels right.
I genuinely love what I do — even on the quiet days.
Curls are fresh, the villains are out, and Stephen King’s keeping me company.
This is my kind of peace.

Rainy Saturdays at the city library were always my favorite.

Nothing quite like the smell of good books; and drops on the window pane.

Librarians protect and promote the importance of literacy, and accessibility for all.
Thank you for your work in preserving these wondrous places.

I just found The Haunting of Hecate Cavendish, by Paula Brackston, at my local library, and SHE has "just" become an assistant librarian in a museum library, located inside a cathedral! It's a good book so far!

I remember that, before Covid, my library had a seating area with sofas, surrounded by periodicals, and that was a perfect place to sit and read on a rainy day. I could pop up when I got bored, and go find ANOTHER book about antiques!

I think the books surrounding me in my home office bring me a kind of peace. I need to get rid of more of them, but I'm doing it slowly.

I do miss reading. Thing with King's books is he narrates about 3 pages on a character only to kill him 🤣
