I recommend "A Canticle for Leibowitz" by Walter M. Miller, Jr. Ostensibly a science fiction novel, it is a classic.

The Poet Empress. I’ve never read anything like it. My favorite book this year.
Just finished The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Very interesting, different. Also loved The Women by Kristin Hannah.

@robbie2499 The movie follows the book pretty closely.

ANY of the Sigma Force novels by James Rollins. I couldn't put them down. I recommend starting with Sandstorm,. and proceeding chronologically from there to read the entire Sigma Force SERIES...which are ALL riveting.

Why not a book of short stories. If one reads so-so, move on to the next.

@rinkydinkydoink Thank you for the suggestions! :)
