Used to be till my eye sight started going. Now I going only read large print and sometimes that's even hard to read.

My vision gets worse each year
HumanEarth · F
I tried them, my mind wonders more with them. I get lost in book more then I do with a Compact Disc
Coletracer · M
@HumanEarth When I'm writing, I'll use the "Read Aloud" app to read my work back to me, and my mind will drift quite often.
HumanEarth · F
I still write in long hand with pen and paper everything. Unless I'm on here or similar
I love to read. I have books in my jeep. I carry one in my purse. I have inbuilt shelves bursting with books. I have bags of books. Stacks in the one corner too. I enjoy all kinds. Non-fiction. Fiction. Romance. Thrillers. You name it, I read them. And poetry of course. Classic poets and writers too.
Coletracer · M
@PoetryNEmotion Hiya sweetie! It's for people like you that I write. Avid readers are an author's joy!
With "Transference" behind me, I've been writing "The Journey." I hope to have it ready before summer.
@Coletracer Well, books always will rule no matter how technology changes the atmosphere. Turning pages is a pleasure. And carrying books is a must. Someday when I make the time-maybe when I can retire, if that ever happens-I will publish a collection of my poetry and perhaps short stories or a book even. We are the ones who keep words alive and growing. And I get to ride horses again in the spring. Life is busy, Cole, and fun.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
Memoirs, novels
Coletracer · M
@Jenny1234 What type of novels
Aysel · F
Indeed, I have been engrossed in reading "Love Letters of Great Men" lately, and while I adore this book, I am left feeling desperately sad because it also makes me realise what isn't anymore.

Coletracer · M
@Aysel I bet that is an awesome book.
Lean on the good memories and smile. Some don't have that.
Try not to dwell on what was and is no more, but on what is to come and might be. Hope has such amazing smiles attached.
Skippyskiptic · 41-45, M
Sci-fi, fantasy, urban fantasy mostly. I prefer audiobooks because my mind wanders when reading a physical book.
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
@Skippyskiptic I like audiobooks for road trips. They make the time pass easier.
Coletracer · M
@Skippyskiptic audiobooks are gaining much popularity. I think they might be in my future as a writer.

@Coletracer It sounds interesting. I am more likely to watch something on those story lines than read. Still, I might give it a go. Thank you for sharing.

Yes. All of the above and more.
Uniquesara · 41-45, F
I love a book to transports you
Coletracer · M
@Uniquesara That's what they are meant to do even though some authors fail at doing it. World-building and descriptions throughout the story are very important.
aloneinUK · 51-55, M
Mainly sci-fi and fantasy. Terry Pratchett was my favourite author
Coletracer · M
@aloneinUK Going postal was a good one he wrote. That's the only one I'm familiar with.
aloneinUK · 51-55, M
@Coletracer If you get the chance read more of the Discworld series.
Coletracer · M
@aloneinUK I'll do that. When I take my breaks from writing, I like to read a while before getting back to it. I'll put that on my book list.
