Just a thought

As i get older and i have some of the experiences ive never had growing up the stuff everyone should have i really feel im a fighter not a lover. No one ever accepts this when i say it but for me its my truth. What is so wrong with that?

I suppose it's where you put your priorities.

Some people are very good at self preservation.

Me ?
Im a peace keeper.
It tore me to shreds to become a fighter.

I feel its ruined my soul 🫤

Not saying 'fighters' are bad, but not everyone is designed to be one.

@OogieBoogie its not really a priority for me just who i am as a person.

@OogieBoogie how does a peacekeeper best keep the peace?
@Rokan i know.
I get it.
Some people are just psychologically built your way.

Some aren't.

I think thats what leads to misunderstanding - we are all built different.

@OogieBoogie people see i wasnt shown love as a kid so they feel badly and just dont want to accept the facts
@Rokan How do we keep the peace?

Multiple ways:
Negotiation
Delegation
Compromise
Explanation
Barter
....we use all avenues till we run out.

We eventually go silent.

When words dont work, and actions arent seen, we crawl into our selves and do what is required to stop friction: Nothing.

We will even twist ourselves into something else, just to stop the anger/disruption/conflict, even if it hurts to do so.

Its kinda stupid really

@OogieBoogie well don't worry you will always find peace in me
@Rokan its a difficult thing to come to terms with who we are....and what others need.

And what we need.

And the really hard effort that's needed to be aware and find a balance between what sedates the damage of us... and the damage of theirs

@OogieBoogie it seems to me that its more difficult for others to understand who i am and accept that when i accepted it years ago.
@Rokan well of course it is.
Do you automatically understand the nuances and deep issues that drive others?

This is why we must learn to communicate, be honest and handle a little self growth and compromise.

No ones way is 'right way'.
Its about learning balance.
Letting go a little of outselves to make room to let bits of others in 🤗

@OogieBoogie well yeah usually i do but i felt what helped me with this was when i was 7 i was kicked out of my house by my abusive alcoholic mother. I had ti adapt had to learn to survive. And then when i was 17 i started going to therapy and its like i just learned so much about people and why things are the way that they are its an easy subject for me.
@Rokan that's intersting🤔

Coz therapy isnt to learn about others ....its to learn about urself.

I wonder why your learning bent that way🤷‍♀

@OogieBoogie no there are all kinds of therapy right now i do Cognitive Processing Therapy specifically, but im a person thats been disturbed by people my environment my world and ive tried to understand it and in therapy we have explored it with such talks centered around emotional intelligence, and other theories.
