The problem with having to hang your laundry outside is you gotta beat it with a broom after it dries just to get all the dust off.

Where I used to live there was a race track out back for horses.
Sand. OMG!! if they didn't water it before jogging the horses it would make everything sandy brown.

I remember the days when the steel mills were at their pinnacle it depended on the wind direction if clothes could be hung outside. At least I do get to hang sheets outside on nice days.

Although low humidity and mucho sun means MUCH quicker drying than in a machine... though, stiff afterwards...
