Good for Missouri

Missouri residents voted half of its city council out over an AI data center deal. I have no issue with AI, I really like technology but research suggests that if this world has more data centers it might make the earth dry and also electricity would go up as it takes huge amounts of electricity and water. I wouldn't mind it if it didn't but because of this fact people should fight back.

Agreed I think AI is inevitable but making huge data centers for it and destroying the environment around it is not the way to do it. Until we can find alternative ways to power and cool it they should not be built especially in urban areas.

@Captainjackass I don't understand. If it's powered by water, and the problem is that the water turns into steam, why don't we build a data center with a steam collector? Am I engaging in too advanced of problem solving for these AI bros?!?

@LordShadowfire its not powered by water but cooled by it. It’s the fact they require so much water to cool it there’s none left for anyone else.

@Captainjackass Yeah. I knew that, and I'm not sure why I wrote powered by water. Derp.
