I'm curious if anyone's actually tried this

I saw this thing (probably an ad, let’s be honest) where they had a charcuterie board with fried honeycomb on it… like you put it on crackers with cheese and meat and all that.
And I was like… yep. that looks amazing. So of course I bought two honeycombs.
Now I’m sitting here thinking…how exactly am I supposed to fry this without it just… melting into a sticky situation??

Like I know you can fry ice cream somehow, so I’m not doubting science… I’m just doubtin me.
Also… does it even fix the texture??

Because I can eat honeycomb but that chewy wax thing is not my favorite. So is it better… or just warm and still weird?
And then I started thinking…

if the point is warm honey with cheese…
why am I not just… warming honey??
Anyway. I may or may not be about to experiment and regret it.

Has anyone actually tried this?? 😅

To deep-fry honeycomb, coat chunks in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs, then fry in 350-360°F oil for 3 minutes until crispy. This method creates a warm, gooey, melted interior with a crunchy shell. It is often served immediately as a unique, sweet-and-savory dessert, similar to breaded snacks.

What I was thinking was that you might try it the way they used to make fried ice cream at a place here in town. They super froze the ice cream — like liquid nitrogen cold — and then dropped that into boiling hot oil just long enough for a crust to form on the outside. No idea if it would work.
@DunningKruger awesome! thank you
