Got sidetracked watching a couple brown thrashers digging around

Now my coffees cold. Oh well, for once is worth it. Love that warm rusty brown color of them.

I must confess. Years ago, I murdered a brown thrasher (our official state bird) that was methodically digging up the corn that we planted. It would start at the end of the row and dig out each kernel. I waiting for it one day and shot it with my .22 rifle. I could be arrested. Maybe that's why I moved 800 miles to another state.
