Was I wrong for refusing to give a doordash driver my name?

I asked him why he wanted to know my name and he told me he just wanted to say goodbye to me. I told him he could do that without knowing my name. I told him flat out he doesn't need to know that information. He was giving off creepy vibes.

well, id think it would be common courtesy of you to give him your name as hed just done a service for you. he is probably just a lonely person who wanted a name to a face. of course its within your rights to withhold that information but it does seems kind of overly suspicious and cautious of you. the guy just risked his life and car driving for you and you couldnt even tell him your name? i mean, it sure shows what kind of opinion you have of doordash drivers no matter how creepy he may have seemed.

@Penny I should have clarified that I was at work at the time working while he was picking up an order.

@Crimsondrops then you should have gave him your name since it was business. sounds unprofessional to deny him your name

@Penny But I don't think he needed it because I wasn't even the one serving him.
