Thanks for bringing this to attention. I agree that the treatment itself is nothing new... the interesting aspect is the ethical concerns that have been raised and not addressed, as Jacob Sherkow points out (he has contributed interesting commentary around CRISPR).
On the downside, general practitioners and oncologists will probably encounter patients who have 'heard that injecting a virus' will cure them and why aren't they being offered this 'cure'?
At least she didn't inject bleach!
