Saw this and was also surprised. I've seen many in parks, stately home gardens etc., but they're usually just in ones or twos, occasionally a few more. Therefore had never really thought how many there would be in total. They're still babies, only a few hundred years old at most, but they'll keep growing. One question to which I'm not getting an answer is whether they will be capable of self seeding, as the ones I've seen were planted from seeds brought over from California.
