I am in pain

I've been in this particular case of pain for about 6 weeks now. I'm still having trouble walking and standing, but I'm getting by. I am making incremental improvements, but it's still an up and down road.

Getting old is not for the weak.

Are you on pain meds or in therapy?

@Blondily I'm avoiding meds as much as I can. I've been doing physical therapy and seeing a chiropractor (he's at our local orthopedic institute, so the woo is kept to a minimum). So, better involves regular exercises and getting my back slammed against a padded table a couple times a week.

@DunningKruger Hope the pain subsides soon. Do you try ice paks? They can aid inflammatory. What did you mean by "woo is kept at a minimum "? I am seeing a chiro currently as well.

@Coralmist Most of chiropractic is nonsense gibberish. The guy who created it had no medical training and knew very little about anatomy. Some chiropractors claim it can cure cancer and such diseases. A lot of it is way out there on the lunatic fringe. That said, there's enough value in getting your back cracked sometimes — or hip, as the case may be — that it does have some legitimate uses.

I do ice packs occasionally, and they do help a bit.

@DunningKruger Ok I thought thats what you meant. I had to go to one to align my jaw as I clench at night and it became misaligned. Their hand tool helps (that slowly pushes the bone back in place over time )..but now they are doing these really rough things with their hands like pulling my jaw downward and it hurts. That is not how it will align. Then they put that tool at my skull too and said this " opens it up". I was thinking umm... I am sure its connected but I don't think pushing a tool on my head is aligning my jaw. I will just need to speak up that their hand manipulation hurts. I hate speaking up ughh. Hope you feel better soon 🍀

@Coralmist I would never allow a chiropractor to touch me anywhere from the neck up.

@DunningKruger Unfortunately I need to get treatment as the other option is even more pricey (a doctor that fits a guard that shifts your jaw back). But that doctor is further away and pricier. I think i will just say can you just use the tool but only at jaw area..not hands too. I may email because its hard for me to speak up.

@DunningKruger I hope you can find something that helps you quickly. Is numbness involved too?
I read what you said about chiropractirs. The hub went to one for numbness paid 💰 and still was numb. He finally got those anti numb pills which he said helped him alot. He stopped seeing the chiropractor because he thinks it had made his numbness worse. So I agree with you that the adjustments the neck and up are too dangerous!
