@Micro @Pfuzylogic We'll never know if whitehead did it intentionally. It'll always remain a mystery.

@Micro I remember it as a “bet” the documentary made it clear it was intentional but the connection to spiritualists was not perfectly defined.

@Pfuzylogic All his documentary films are always based on speculations. Truth being, we both weren't in the dressing room in the mid 1920s 😊

I used to know a woman who genuinely believed she was a psychic. The bloke in the flat beneath her died, she failed to notice, he was dead for 6 months before he was found!
Apart from anything else how do you fail to notice your downstairs neighbour has just seemingly disappeared into thin air!?

Most, if not all, are frauds. But there are recorded cases of people knowing things that happened in the past that they shouldn't know. I do believe there is something out there we don't understand yet.

@Convivial The question is WHY are the able to know things that they shouldn't be able to?
Convivial · 26-30, F
@SW-User unknown at this point...i kind of life the idea of a universal unconsciousness... Think of it as a web or internet for the mind that people can sometimes tap into... The realty is we just don't know... Yet

They are either fake and trying to trick us or they are very dangerous, some I think are because they are possessed by demons and as demons, they could have been attached to a family for generations which would explain why they appear to know things and be 'helping' people.
2 Corinthians 11:14-15
"And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds."

@SW-User who knows... Memories of post events the intrude into your mind is as good an explanation as any

SW-User
@Convivial maybe we will all find out one day 😊
Convivial · 26-30, F

I do not believe psychics are really psychic. However, while some are scammers, I think others are sincere and really do believe they have psychic ability.
I have observed some psychic readings, and I get the impression that psychics are very good at reading people, at saying things that draw people out, and at expressing empathy. (So a lot of the "insights" and predictions come from the client, ultimately, not from the psychic.)
And those skills don't help you win the lottery!

I think psychic phenomenas are probably real. On occasion.
I do not think they're reliable enough to pay for them.

I think that real Psychics rarely win the Lottery because on becoming exceptionally rich they might be tempted to give up reading. This would mean they are no longer free to help.
However once retired and playing the lottery they would then be freed up to win .

You'd think they would have known they'd be asked that question!
Guess user Rutterman should be called to answer this one.
Applepiedom · 61-69, M

Applepiedom · 61-69, M
@SW-User they're psychic they should know

SW-User
@Applepiedom well only if they are the ones in control of the information and not a demonic possession.
