They are either fake and trying to trick us or they are very dangerous, some I think are because they are possessed by demons and as demons, they could have been attached to a family for generations which would explain why they appear to know things and be 'helping' people.

@Convivial well people have had some very scary experiences and outside the normal rules of physics that don't seem to logically make sense. Never experienced anything myself but my husband and my son both saw a black monk like figure with no face in a pub once. I still wonder what the hell that was!
