Domestic Violence - Paid leave

Here in Australia , they have passed the bill for anyone to take upto 10 days of paid leave on ‘domestic violence’ grounds.

Should have been done ages ago.

You can beat your wife and take ten days off? That would be really popular in Texas!

@hunkalove it’s funny because it’s true 😂

No. It should be added to personal days. You don’t need your employer knowing your family business.

@Carissimi it makes it a lot easier to explain why you are always off work or in hospital

It’s still not your employers’s business. I suspect many victims of domestic violence don’t want it broadcast, and would not take the leave, if they plan on staying with the abuser. Some who are not victims, will take the leave, and ruin the reputation of their partner. Of course this is my opinion, and you may disagree. @nedkelly

@scorpiolovedeep I still don’t agree with it.
