They said use 2tbsp of rice to 1 tin of evaporated milk when making rice pudding.

I followed. I found no rice in the bowl after cooking. WTH?? Do not play with me after telling me what to do & it fails!!

Asians don't skimp on rice!!!😠

2 tbsp is too little. Need like 1/2 cup of rice.
GunFinger · F
@Sapio right. I used even more.😁
Gusman · 61-69, M
Misled. I 1/2 cups cooked rice to 1 tin condensed milk. 🙂
GunFinger · F
@Gusman I haven't tried condensed milk in rice pudding. Seems too sweet. The only types of milk I've ever used are full-cream milk and evaporated milk.

They steered you wrong - somebody doesn't know how to make rice pudding. A tin of evaporated milk needs 1/2-3/4 cup of short grain rice.

This recipe says to use 1/2 cup of rice.

I've made this mistake before.

Do they mean cooked rice or dry rice?

Big difference.

@GunFinger Hm, yeah that seems a little light for rice pudding.
GunFinger · F
@SumKindaMunster for a 340ml of milk, I put about 2 cups of cooked rice with it. I used brown rice.😊

just throw it away and get some ice cream
