I Have Something to Say

I don't understand the connection: "Jesus died for your sins." How does one affect the other...That's like saying: "I hit myself over the head with a toilet seat for your mortgage."?

Its simple, Jesus paid your debt in full. If we reject him, he will reject us at the gate of heaven. He will say "I never knew you"

"all come short of the glory of God, we all sin"

Jesus says, "No eyes have seen ,no ears have heard, what God has prepared for those who love Him"

oh Midnighttoker I want to see you in heaven one day, and you will get blessed before that too in this life.

The idea being that he could have saved himself, but chose not to. He died so that he could forgive human sin.
Something to that effect.

@DDonde That suggests he couldn't forgive human sin without dying. If he is almighty, that makes no sense.

@SW-User My theology is a little rusty.

God killed himself to appease himself of the rage he has over you touching your wangdoodle in the bath.
