chip on shoulder?

I mean,
I could be wrong but...
I get the impression that people with: low expectations, have a chip on their shoulder, think the world owes them something, and the attitude that they are the only one with problems....

are all lumped together in the same category...

but I mean, if they think the world owes them something, wouldn't that mean they have high expectations that aren't being fulfilled?


I always imagined those with the lower expectations to not expect the world owe them anything and have accepted that they cant count on others having their back?

or at very least, accept that life is bs sometimes and that nothing is really fair

sure, they might still have a grudge or a chip on their shoulder, but feeling like they are owed or even entitled to something isn't on their mind because in reality they just be trying to handle everything on their own?

I dunno, it just bugs me that others quickly conclude that jaded people are all these things...
but meh, people judge, what'ya gonna do 😔
