Both. Women, too.

Both are true.

Corrupt men get rich. Priorities say a lot about a person.

@SilverF0x Simply stumbling across good fortune doesn’t corrupt you. It’s possible to win the lotto and only do good things with the money acquired. They were corrupt before the wealth. The wealth only gave them the means to exacerbate what was already bad.
SilverF0x · 51-55, M
@Reject We all succumb to greed. Just different tolerance
Reject · 31-35, M
@SilverF0x Well, I’m sure everyone who’s ever committed a crime would love that defense. It lets them excuse their faults. Society won’t care though. Neither will anyone else who genuinely wants the best for people. Nothing can corrupt you. You made your bed and you’ll lie in it.

Business owner here. From personal experience: most wealthy people I know were corrupted by their wealth.
SilverF0x · 51-55, M
@tenente Yes. Wealth is good at that

@jshm2 I have to disagree. If that were true there would be no corrupt rich people. We know there are plenty
available4 · 70-79, M
it doesn't matter, both have happened
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
Through blackmail. the highest corruption owns the corrupt.
Either way, money/power spoils a human mind
SilverF0x · 51-55, M
@EldritchFox Yes. I think the first statement is almost always true. Rich people get corrupted by greed
yes.. the common demoninator here is money $$$
Musicman · 61-69, M
From what I have seen it's the corrupted who get rich.
SilverF0x · 51-55, M
@Musicman Some of them yes. Only if they have something of value to offer
