Why do some guys take thier shirt off when thier about to fight?

@jshm2 idk.. grabbing a guy by the shirt seems kind of amateur to me.
You could keep range with kicks and shoot for a takedown.
If he were to grab my shirt that means at least one of his arms is tied up and not defending and hes in my gaurd. Id grab that arm and drop elbows to the face on the opposite side while trying to maneuver him off balance.
What if he cant even get the grab and i manage an arm bar or kimura.
I think grabing a shirt is only effective if hes running away and i grab him from behind.
