What’s the most beautiful way someone has ever shown you love without saying a word?

Just being there, knowing they are there and it calms me.

A friend once showed up at my doorstep on Halloween years ago, handing me a copy of the original IT movie, saying "I know you love horror, but doesn't find it scary anymore, so I figured this movie would do the trick"

She was absolutely right.
She has also sent me orange flowers every halloween since bc she knows I love that day, but hate my bday.

Well, I guess she did say more than a few words, but ahe did say ilu wothput saying those words, so I'm gonna let this comment stay.

My husband and closest family taking care of my most basic needs when I could not.

This one guy from work. A guy I didn't particularly liked.
While going thru a very hard time, out of nowhere he gave me a hug and said...I'm here for you.
It still makes me emotional.
My dog. She wasy best friend.
I was going through a pretty shitty time and it felt all too much to bear:
- i sat on th floor against the couch feeling defeated.
She walked over, sat down squishingly close, and leant into me with all her body weight pressed against me, (great dane x mastiiff), and pressed her cheek into my face.
-i wrapped my arms around her and cried. It felt so good. Its like we connected....deeply.

- i swear it felt like she was absorbing my stress.
No words
No asks
No nothing....except pure caring.
It was just what i needed.

@OogieBoogie We don't deserve dogs. Mine are that way too.
@OogieBoogie I miss my Drake, he was my best friend and only one who ever really saw me cry, would come and lay his head on my shoulder

Best thing I've read today.

I think simply reaching out and holding my hand in a moment where i needed that more than anything in the world. Somehow she knew.
When Babe holds my hand.

He didnt even question me going there. He didn't even suggest it as an option. He just filled in the paperwork and asked if that was ok.
@BrandNewMan With hubs? He moved from Texas to London
@V00doo Wow, now that's committing

Same. A hug and a smile. The look in their eyes said it all. ☺

Her smile and the look in her eyes when I picked her up at her dorm after not seeing her for a couple of weeks.

Thinking about me and doing something nice for me out of the blue. I wish she were still alive 😞

The way my son looks in my eyes, how he'll act like he hates my hugs but I'll feel him drop his weight into my arms.
DarthInvader · 36-40, M
A hug that genuinely made my heart flutter.
IM5688 · 61-69, M
Just being there and/or giving me a hug.
Captainjackass · 31-35, M
I don’t think anyone ever has. Im not really a lovable person.
@Captainjackass you are too, bud
Captainjackass · 31-35, M
@Bexsy naw.
Long car drives in silence, just letting me play my music and cry until I was ready to talk
There are more times looking back, where the opportunity for that was ignored, instead of acted upon.
NudistJohn · 56-60, M
Looking into my eyes and giving me a big long hug
StarLily · 51-55, F
Still waiting for that I think.
@StarLily It is difficult sometimes, I was alone many years before ever feeling it
