Should you feel obligated to return a favor to those who helped you?

I try for both. Kindness is so precious and rare.

Paying it forward should be enough. That doesn't mean I don't feel obligated to return it (too) though.

I think paying it forward is even a bit more meaningful.

I also try and return the favor if someone helps me. I feel it's only right

I try to do both. Reciprocity is a good thing.

You should always help when you can provided it does not bring you harm or severe hardships. (Unless you're a parent) Then it's always "Yes," to helping.

Pay it forward. Most people don’t expect anything in return.

Should ? No.

But I always return the favor as I rarely get any.
