What doesn't require a license, but should?

@4meAndyou I hate the idea of licensing bike riding for Christ's sake the helmet laws already piss me off.

I have no idea where you live but I can tell you Ohio already has laws against bike riding on sidewalks, light requirements for bicycles, helmet laws, and all bikes are supposed to be ridden on the roadway following all the laws that motorists have to follow. That is enough for me.

@WillaKissing I used to live in South Boston when I first met the ex. Things were primitive at best regarding bike riding in the city. Perhaps by now, things have improved...but bike riders did NOT use hand signals in those days, they DID ride on sidewalks, and were, generally speaking, a hazard.

@4meAndyou With all the colleges big and small in Ohio and with the way the students at those colleges acted on bicycles, and the amount of bike pedestrian and bike car accidents the state legislated laws on bikes in the early 1990's in Ohio. So, bicyclists can be cited and held legally and civilly accountable for their biking when they do it irresponsibly.


But I also recognize not matter where anyone lives in this world as far as bikes and vehicles go the laws are only as good as the folks that follow them. And why Ohio allows for civil lawsuits for bike as well as criminal charges.
