@WaryWitchWandering I bet your fam is very happy lol I remember seeing pics when you started, are you mastering it?
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@MarbleMarvel I don’t know about mastering.,, but I’m pretty pleased with where I’m at
It’s exciting— the process— then pulling it out of the oven at the end. 😍 and OBVIOUSLY eating it 🤤 haha.

To swap the wine bottle for a full one after I've had a glass or two. That way everyone stays happy.

How to change a tire.
Keep in mind I mean a tire, not a wheel, like you see people doing on the side of the road.

@SinlessOnslaught you mean like how they remove a tire from the rim in a garage?
SinlessOnslaught · M
@tactical360 Yes, with one of those rotating machines.
tactical360 · 56-60, M
@SinlessOnslaught about 2 decades ago, while working in a garage, a friend and I did something rather amusing. We had a 4 tire ticket on a geo metro and decided to have a little fun. One of us drove the vehicle on the lift and then the party started. We mounted 4 brand new tires on, with valve stems, balanced all 4 tires. Did a visual on the brakes, checked frt. End for play, hand torqued the tires and had it out the door in twelve minutes.
Another time, we did the same with a full size Buick with white walls out. We did everything like above and had the white walls washed and the vehicle out in 17 minutes. Those were the days.

I gathered acorns when I was 9 years old and boiled them in briny water about 3 times to remove the tannins and roasted them in the oven to have for a snack. I don’t know whether it was teaching myself or genetic memory. I believe it was genetic memory. No one in my family ever talked about eating acorns and I’d not read about it in a book or anything. They were good, maybe not on the roasted peanut level but they all got eaten. It’s a wonder I didn’t get poisoned as a child because it wasn’t the only wild food that I gathered and ate.

Mechanical work. I just took things apart, cars, bicycles, electric razors (I learned to unplug them first after a shock). Then, eventually, taught myself how to put them back together.
