Did anyone mental health struggle during the pandemic?

elafina · 36-40, F
I did. For the first time I was so bad that I decided it's time to book an appointment looking for support, I did but due to technical reasons it just had never happened..

@PhoenixPhail I'm A LOT better now... I have bad moments but I've worked a great deal on that self hatred I carried.. thank you.

@PhoenixPhail how about you dear ?
@elafina Thank you for asking. 🫂
I'm better, as well, which, of course, includes some bad moments and short-lived episodes. But my struggles are mostly from early-childhood abuse. However, the pandemic triggered a lot of pain and anxiety, as though I were reliving those early years. So... lots of expressions of PTSD. There are challenges every day.

Sure but it wasn't the pandemic, it was my mom dying and I couldn't even get a hug.
CestManan · 46-50, F
I did not. It was just like, "Whatever".

I haven't been invited to any gatherings in years so it had no effect on my social life.

As for being worried about keeling over, I never worried about that. They are always talking about gloom and doom so the pandemic was just another "end of the world" type threat.

Before during and after 😬

Nope i did not because i was busy with the work and helping people with food. But i know how scary it was and know of people who got into depression seeing the deaths around.
No more than usual. In fact my anxiety may have been a little better since I didn't have to deal with people.

somewhat, yeah. it was the worst of times combined with the political landscape in the US
I have but it's not just during.

It's during, before and after the pandemic.

A little bit but it wasn’t too bad for me, fortunately.
Wizardry · 46-50, M
@MsRose was like that as well. By having good and bad days
Badjujubee · 46-50, F
Yep but I could only see it once I was past it.

For me - it was a break if anything....

Mine improved. No pressure for social gatherings. When I had to go somewhere traffic was lighter. The office made a commitment to job security for the first year of it.

The whole world just kind of slowed down and it felt like I could finally just take a breath
